Description

There is good news for everybody who thought I'd enjoy four consecutive clear nights: today the cloud cover is near 100%, arrrgh! Since I can't stop being nasty I have uploaded two images from yesterday. In spite of unsteady air, I took quick pictures of Jupiter (1:00 min) and Saturn (1:30 min) and then two even faster images of the lunar limb to combine them. Thanks to favorable libration, crater Pythagoras and Mare Humboldtianum were in tangible view. This time no Uranus and no Neptune, the latter being too close to the near full moon.

Pythagoras is the crater with three central peaks at the center left.
The Jovian moons are, Ganymede with shadow and Europa.
4ms, gain 150, 172fps, 600x. mono8, 10-bit ADC, 1.5x drizzled.
Planet images with ASI462MC and Baader UV/IR Cut filter.
